Durga Puja doesn’t mean new clothes, fun, frolic, and friends. It’s celebrated as, Dussehra, Durga Puja, Dasai etc. But end of the day it upholds the lesson that our ancestors taught us. No nation can thrive without empowering their women. They are the ones who build homes, societies, states and nations.

Inspired by the movie: Inception

Plant an idea so deep that you lose track, the dream becomes the reality and the reality a dream. If you need to find your way back home, out of the rabbit hole, just keep your totem handy.

In present day, we are surrounded with stress, depression and unhappiness. It seems we are trapped in a remote location, within our brain. The escape path is visible, but we are so doped with our stress and unhappiness, we don't even make an attempt to escape.

There are friends out there who are doctors. While people like me, we are staying at home in the safe abode, these unsung heroes are stepping out. They are fighting a battle, we don't know how many of us will see till the end. This sketch is not to show how good an artist I am, this is a salute to these real Avengers.

The Mountain Of The Moon (My Version)

Was reading the book "Chander Pahar" (The mountain of the Moon) by Bibhutibhushan Bandyopadhyay.
As I was going through the vivid description of Africa and the protagonists journey and adventure there, a picture cropped up in my mind. So today, my version of "Chander Pahar"

My first attempt to sketch a pareidolia with cityscapes...... You may identify a face embedded in the cityscape.... If you do comment "yes"

My wild heart can neither be tamed, nor can anyone cage me from galloping. I am Born free and the wilderness awaits me.

Ashwathama

My version of Ashwathama.

The more I read about Ashwathama the more a picture of a Ronin became clear. I have read about Ronins in feudal Japan. A Ronin was a wandering samurai without a master. Ashwathama being cursed and rejected by his clan and wandering throughout eternity is a perfect picture of a ever wandering Ronin.

I am a pirate, I loot treasured happiness from life. I wear an eye patch (Signs of things lost) and my cutlass to fight my everyday war. The salty air fills my lungs as I enjoy a bumpy ride on the waves, my entire life.

Nostalgia

Nostalgia

As a kid I used to listen to this song and a picture used to come up in front of my eyes.

Here you go....

If you miss the train I'm on,
You will know that I am gone,
You can hear
the whistle blow, a hundred miles.
A hundred miles, a hundred miles,
A hundred miles, a hundred miles.
You can hear the whistle blow, a hundred miles.

Lord, I'm one, Lord I'm two
Lord, I'm three, Lord I'm four,
Lord, I'm five hundred miles away from home.
Not a shirt on my back,
Not a penny to my name,
Lord, I can't go back home this away.
This away, this away, this away, this away.
Lord, I can't go back home, this away.

If you miss the train I'm on, you will know that I am gone,
You can hear the whistle blow, a hundred miles.
A hundred miles, a hundred miles,
A hundred miles, a hundred miles.
You can hear the whistle blow, a hundred miles.

Fight to live or live to fight

Fight to live or live to fight !!!

Because we all have a hero hidden deep down within us

When life grounds you, you always know....
Somewhere deep down there.... the big guy is waiting to take over you.... But you still try to control....

When you can't you unleash the green monster.....

You draw out your claws,
awaken the beast within you..... And fight back,  tearing everything into shreds.....

Fighting...... Rounds after rounds....
You tell your self.... "One more round.... A last round"..... And when the fight doesn't seems to seize, and you vision seems to fail...... You get up and tell your self "I can do  this all day"......
